“Ma Chmise Bleu”, 24x20 oil on linen, portrays the first proper blue cotton shirt I think I’ve ever owned. It’s faded and fraying. On its hook in my white-walled studio, it whispered ‘New England summer beach house’. They say “paint what you know” ... or how about, “paint what you’d love to have”. For reasons unknown, its title needs to be in my native language, Acadian French.
