A second run at paying homage to the inimitable Rothko. From the first painting of his that I saw in person, it was like seeing exhalations of his soul onto canvas. And I was profoundly moved.
Bear in mind this is in homage, and not crass derivation. In trying to layer colors so that they sing in polyphonic harmony, I was writhing with the effort.
Fair warning: do not make the mistake of telling me "My kid could do that" in reference to anything by Mark Rothko. It wouldn't go over very well.
