Inspired by a photo by Montreal-based photographer and artist, Kathleen Finlay, breath-taking for its serene tonalities. I rarely work from other people's photographs, but this was a love-at-first-sight image.
Not yet finished. If I can get the tones and scale exactly right, this could well become a much larger painting later on.
