At the 2012 Salt Lake Greek Festival, I happened to photograph a young man just after his dance troupe's performance. Never did get his name, but this image, redolent with youth, strength, beauty, cultural pride, simply had to become an oil painting. Took a while, but this is the second practice sketch, not yet matted.
There is a 20x24 inch oil on linen canvas in progress.
