When the light is right, everything's right. From a photo I took the other day of a splendiferous orange pepper, this painting will come into its own.
And just after completing this first run at it, I came across a quote by Richard Diebenkorn. He warns of being satisfied with pretty results of a first draft, and urges one to keep searching, keep going.
He is absolutely right.
