At the 2012 Salt Lake Greek Festival, I happened to photograph a young man just after his dance troupe's performance. Never did get his name, but this image, redolent with youth, strength, beauty, cultural pride, simply had to become an oil painting. Took a while, but this is the second practice sketch, not yet matted.
It will become a 14x18 oil on canvas painting. There is a 20x24 inch linen canvas waiting, and if it turns out as sublimely as I envision, this image will also become a 20x28 inch painting.
Sky's the limit, or at least the size of my art studio's doorway.
